Welcome!
Please have a look around our website. It would be great to welcome you to one of our services or to meet you to discuss your joys, concerns or questions.

We are the Church of England in the Costa Brava.
You are welcome to join us.
Normally we meet in a number of different places of worship.
Check which one is nearest to you.

At the moment, we are only meeting online and you are welcome to join us.

We are a very welcoming group who embrace people from a wide variety of backgrounds and a range of countries. All ages are represented, from the very young to the not so young! In any of our worship places, you will find time and space for yourself but also a warm community where we are spiritually fed and learn in the fellowship of one another.

News & Coronavirus updates

We continue to meet online for the foreseeable future.

Our Chaplaincy Council meet regularly to assess the situation. We are not planning to meet physically at the moment but we will keep you informed when that is likely to happen.  All news, updates and information will appear here.

We record our live Sunday service and post that below after the service. Our live Sunday service is via Zoom. Register below for our newsletter to get the invitation for our service each Sunday and to all our other events.

In the meantime, stay safe and follow the guidelines being issued. Rachel is happy to pray with anyone via Facetime, Whatsapp, email etc. Please be in touch in the usual way. Follow our Facebook page for information and join our whole chaplaincy WhatsApp group to keep in touch with one another.

God bless.

Sunday Service

The videoed service from each Sunday service will appear below, once the live service has ended.

Latest News

Click here to read the Bishops' letter on Coronavirus and Intinction and this from our Bishops:
and this information from the Church of England and click here for information from our Diocese.

"These are troubling times. We are sincerely grateful to our clergy and lay officers for sustaining church life and bearing their parishioners’ anxieties as well as their own. We are aware of the plight of those who have to self-isolate and those facing restrictions on movement. We are greatly encouraged by clergy who are responding to the virus in imaginative ways and working constructively with their church councils in planning for an uncertain context over the coming weeks. The pastoral work and community leadership of you our beloved clergy is especially needed in difficult times.

Our meeting will now take place via Zoom on 6th October at 11.00am.  Click here for all the information and nomination forms

Safeguarding

We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously. Please contact our safeguarding officer, David Wilkinson, if you have any concerns - cb.safeguarding@gmail.com

Bishop's Advent Appeal 2020

Each year the Bishop chooses a good cause to support. The COVID-19 pandemic has hurt communities throughout the world. Many communities are not equipped with even the most basic of hygiene and sanitation facilities, and lockdown measures have increased economic hardship in the poorest communities with people unable to work.
A grant from the ACF supported the provision of food, drinking water, hygiene equipment and medicines in Mexico in the wake of COVID-19.  Photos (The Anglican Church of Mexico provided by ACF).
Please see the letter to the right for more information.

Brexit Resources Hub

With the UK due to leave the EU on 31 January 2020, the Diocese in Europe has created a special Brexit Resources Hub on its website with links to the latest official information available, along with public statements by Bishop Robert on the matter.
The webpage was updated in January 2020 to include the European Commission Guidance on Brexit Preparedness.
Click here to find out more.

Bishop Robert writes: “There is more to life than Brexit. We have our faith and families that sustain, nurture and feed us through difficult times. We should keep a sense of perspective and take Brexit a month at a time as a great deal will happen over the next year to shape our relationships with Europe. Let’s encourage one another through it.”

Events 2020

As our events have had to be cancelled for the foreseeable future, we have organised an online weekly quiz to raise money for the chaplaincy. Please click here for details.
